No Athletics Day - Oh no!

Oh stink ... its raining! I have been so excited from last night, packing my clean sports uniform and even getting my $1 for an iceblock! All for nothing? No Way, this can't be happening! I was so disappointed this morning when mum came into my room and said, "Rosa, it's raining this morning. Do you think athletics is still on? Half asleep I replied "No". But when I was fully awake. I knew what it meant. It meant there was a high possibility of athletics being postponed until tomorrow! I felt my heart sink. But... just in case, I brought my P.E uniform anyway. When I got to school, sure enough Mr Gordon said "Even if it gets sunny, the ground will be too wet so we can't do it today.". I was expecting this but once again I felt let down. All I could think was "If only I could change the weather from the beginning!". SO ...I'm really hoping we can have athletics tomorrow.

Production Progress

Well things are certainly taking shape with our school production! The cast have memorized their lines, the backdrop and props are almost complete and the choir and soloists sound amazing!

Marble Challenge Homework Projects

Congratulations to all those students who completed and shared their marble challenge homework projects today. There certainly was a range of project designs! Well Done!

Young Leaders Day

Today the Young Leaders from our school went to hear from other leaders from across NZ. When they returned they said they had an interesting day and felt inspired! We will found out more about the day in future blog posts!

Production Auditions

Today was the auditions for the main acting and singing parts in the production. This morning you could see students all over the playground working together rehearsing their lines! Good luck to everyone.

Interschool Swim Team!

Here is our interschool swim team looking very relaxed before they head off to the pool. Lucky it is an indoor pool! Can you pick out the members from Room 13?

Award from the Principal!

Congratulations girls for sharing your work with Mrs Stewart. They worked very well together and the Principal's Award looks great on your board game!

Testing out our RICE Games

Alicia enjoyed being able to play the game and test it for any problems after it was made. Rosa noted that on one part of their board game a player could become trapped if they kept picking up RICE cards that moved them ahead or back 3 places. The group will have to problem solve a solution to that one!

Bio Poems

We been learning about bio poems and have had fun creating and publishing them. We added a digital head shot to the top of our poem and funny arms and legs on the side and bottom.
