Athletics Day Today!

Oow my legs. I was so sleepy and sore after school yesterday because of athletics.

I was in tabloids yesterday and I was controlling the sack race. It was really fun and hard at the same time because I had to run back and forth getting everything and setting it up.

I liked it better when it was the seniors turn because each group only had two people in it and everyone knew what to do. But in the middles there where heaps of them and some need extra reminders how to move to their next activity. I really enjoyed Athletics especially the chance to organise and run a tabloid activity. The ice cream I had at lunch was wonderful!

Art Exhibit

“Wow! Look at all the colours and different styles, we are so creative!” This morning our class went to the art exhibit to look at all the art work that Sunnybrae has created this year. It was amazing to see how talented our school is. There was a range of different media used to make the art work, some people used paper mache to make masks and others used paint. It was really good seeing our puppets on the stands, it looked like a real live rugby match! Overall I think the exhibit was a great success and we should all be proud of ourselves.

Canadian Penpal Letters

The last couple of days we have been writing a letter to a Canadian penpal. It was a bit easier then I thought because we did a letter to a dog called Jock when Mrs Smith had us for writing. So we already know how to make a letter. I really enjoyed the end because we got to draw about some things we had mentioned to in the letter. We now get to draw and design a stamp with a NZ symbols on it and we're going to stick it on the back of the letter!

Testing out our RICE Games

Alicia enjoyed being able to play the game and test it for any problems after it was made. Rosa noted that on one part of their board game a player could become trapped if they kept picking up RICE cards that moved them ahead or back 3 places. The group will have to problem solve a solution to that one!
