Swimming Sports

Swimming sports was fun.  I was in the finals for Freestyle. I felt happy because I came 3rd. I liked the teachers relay because they wore the funny outfits.

Art with Mrs Smith

Mrs Smith comes to our class (Rm 13) every Thursday. She teaches us for the 

the whole day. The topic we are learning about is the Chinese New Year.

She told our class to trace a dragon from one of her pictures of them.

Then she told us to choose 3 colours of ribbon, put them together, and cut them together in small pieces and stick them onto the scales of the dragons body, so it would make shiny and have multicoloured scales. I started doing my dragon and the multicolured scales were very tricky to put on the dragon.

When I finally finished it, I was very proud of it.  I showed it to Mrs Smith and she said I could start cutting it out.

I like it when Mrs Smith teaches us art and I'm looking foward to her next art activity.

Events for the Week - Week 3 Term 1

Today we held an election to choose our new school councillors. Piper and Brodie were elected to represent our class this year. A new student started our class this week and his name is Abim. He is from Indonesia. On Thursday did a art with Mrs Smith and we learnt about Chinese New Year. Today is also Ihiria’s birthday.

Swimming - Bring Your Togs

Great to see Room 13 students learning how to swim and they are also having fun at the same time! It is important that students remember their togs on our swim days (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday).

I see the weather getting dark and darker.

I see my friends running up to me saying hello.

I see Hannah helping me doing the bell.

I feel ...

I feel happy coming to school and meeting my new teacher.

I feel sad looking at the weather -  raining.

I feel happy being a new Year 6 this year.

I taste...

I taste my own lunch and it tastes yum.

I taste fresh water from my drink bottle.

I wonder ...

I wonder what it is being a Year 6 year in Room 13.

I wonder if Mr Gordon will  be the greatest teacher this year.

I wonder if will be a citizenship award this year again.
